LELAN's Executive Director, Ellie Hodges, spoke with ABC News Adelaide about the experiences of people with disability accessing inpatient mental health services. This was in response to a facebook post by Kelly Vincent and picked up by the media about the (lack of) care that they received.

What’s going to happen to people that don’t have the knowledge of the system… that don’t have the Health Minister’s mobile number or maybe don’t have the ability to verbalise what’s going on? [Kelly Vincent]

There’s absolutely many cases and experiences of people that we don’t hear about. We expect, would hope, that our basic needs are met. It’s a human right. And that we are cared for. [Ellie Hodges]
